POSITION: Environmental Specialist

Conduct research or perform investigation for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminating sources of pollutants/hazards that affect either the environment/public health. Process & review environmental permits, licenses, Environmental Impact Statements & Environmental Assessments. 

Conduct spatial data analysis using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support environmental compliance, monitoring land-use changes, vegetation cover, & ecological impacts through detailed geospatial maps & reports. 

Provide recommendations to improve operational practices & meet compliance standards. 

Require: 

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Marine Biology, or its equivalent.

3 yrs. of work exp. in:

a) environmental monitoring & licensing, 

b) technical evaluation & monitoring of environmental permits, 

c) data analysis, including spatial data analysis & visualization using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), & 

d) providing recommendations to improve environmental operational practices & meet compliance standards.
